The problem

The freezer works. The tarmac doesn't.

Cold-chain failures rarely look like equipment failures. The compressor ran perfectly. The cargo was within spec at origin. And yet the consignee logged a 4°C excursion at unloading, and a $1.2m batch is now under quality review.

What actually happened: the freighter sat for 90 minutes longer than planned at a 34°C apron in Dubai because of a dust-storm slot delay. Phase-change packs degraded in that window. The consignment was failed before it ever entered the destination warehouse.

This is not a forecasting problem. It's a decision problem. We do that part.

What we decide

Five decisions, made per consignment.

Pre-cool setpoint
Recommends −20°C, −30°C or active phase-change profile based on forecast tarmac dwell at every transit hub. Setpoint delivered to the warehouse 6 hours before pickup.

Loading slot
Scores the next four loading slots at origin against arrival-side dwell risk, and recommends the slot that minimises total excursion exposure.

Routing alternative
When a hub looks high-risk for the next 12 hours, costs the next best routing and surfaces the financial delta.

Hold or release
At the gate, makes the hold-on-stand vs. board call when a downstream weather event threatens dwell at destination.

Receiving prep
Pushes an arrival-window forecast and dwell estimate to the receiver 90 minutes before touchdown, so the cold room is staged.
